We designed some lettering using an Inkscape extension called Ink/Stitch, exported it, hooped the towel, and then watched the machine embroider our design onto it. Seeing a digital file turn into a physical design on fabric was very satisfying.

I also got a tour of the hackerspace, which is very homely and incredibly well-equipped. The organisers of the event were extremely polite and bursting with positive energy, and I look forward to attending any future workshops the space may hold.
